The OVERSEAS FILIPINO WORKERS BIBLE MINISTRY is an independent mission inspired by the Word of God in Luke 4:4 where the Lord Jesus said to the devil, "It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God". This is the Lord's answer to the devil's temptation on him as he hungered after forty days of fasting. In this scenario, the Lord Jesus pointed out that the spiritual food which is the Word of God should me more desired than the carnal food. We Filipinos works abroad to find bread to live, but as Christians at OFWBM, we believe in the Bible that we should live also "by every word of God". Another scripture parallel to this is in John 6:27 "Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for the meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed". The Word of God is our motivating factor here at OFWBM in Israel. The Holy Spirit moves us in the start of the millennium 2000 to plant the Word of God in the hearts of the Filipinos that are here and to disciple them to become witnesses for Christ to the Jews and Gentiles, and to function this ministry as a springboard of Filipino believers to all over the world. With this testimony, we believe that we can awaken the hearts not only of the Jews but also of the Gentiles that are here as well to do the same ministry and become part in obeying the Great Commission. Our prayer is the peace of God and more blessing for those individuals who would support this ministry and become as one of our God-led sponsors. We need to hand out Bibles to some 30,000 Filipinos that are here including our vision also to reach out the some 250,000 Gentile foreigners from the 10/40 Window countries that are here as well.
